Level 1:
Students
learn basic tumbling fundamentals and learn to establish a
strong foundation in technique for tightness and control. Skills
include: Forward and backward rolls, front and back walkovers,
handstands, cartwheels and round offs. This level is recommended
to new students that have little experience in tumbling.
Students must be proficient in all skills before moving on to
the next level.
Level 2:
Students, after showing proficient ability in level 1 skills,
will build onto the foundation of tightness and control and
learn to incorporate level 1 skills with level 2 skills
including, standing front and back handsprings, front walkover
and round-off backhand springs. Multiple handsprings from the
round off position will be taught in this level as well. To be
eligible to move on students must have a round-off backhand
spring. Standing handspring is preferred.
Level 3:
In this level students will learn how to do round-off multiple
handsprings, round-off handspring back tuck and multiple
standing backhand springs from a toe touch. To move on, students
must achieve a round-off backhand spring tuck as well as a
standing backhand spring to move into level 4.
Level 4:
This level is for teaching layouts and learning how to do full
twisting layouts as well as tumbling out of the standing
position. This includes: standing back tuck, back handspring
back tuck and toe touch etc. To move on the student must show a
consistent round-off handspring layout as well as a standing
tuck.
Level 5:
This class is exclusively to learn combination passes and full
twisting layouts. At the discretion of the head instructor a
student will be aloud to try double full twisting layouts as
well as any other specialty passes.
